Codere hit by Argentinian bingo loss - 4th January 2009

Spanish gaming group Codere has been told that its licence to run a bingo hall in La Plata, Argentina has been blocked.

Regulators in Buenos Aires said that the application for the Bingo Platense bingo hall had been rejected; Codere immediately said they planned a legal appeal of the decision as they believed they had met all requirements for a licence renewal.

Pending the appeal Codere has been told they can carry on running the Platense bingo hall until June 2009.
